What Type of Water Are You Drinking and Why?

Greetings!

Home offices are becoming extremely popular in modern business. At Unity Home Office, we focus on a healthy approach towards working from home, offering other solutions from an ergonomic structure.

Water is a big business; no wonder why there are so many distributors and consumption decisions; at Unity Home Office, we are fond of the distiller water system as our drinking water choice. In addition, a water distiller can serve as essential home office equipment for health and economic reasons.

Distillation is one of the oldest methods used for water treatment which is currently used today (it is not a fad). From a health perspective, distilled water removes many containments from drinking water:

  • Lead in drinking water is usually formed by corrosion in lead pipes, faucets, and fixtures.
  • Pharmaceuticals enter the water supply via human excretion (urine and feces). As well as from drugs that have gone down the drain system.
  • Bacteria, due to the cost of testing and improper management, this allows bacteria to find it’s way into drinking water.
  • Chlorine is known to kill bacteria and other viruses in water.
  • Nitrates and nitrites stem from surface waters and human and animal waste. High levels of nitrates and nitrites can cause weakness, excess heart, fatigue, and dizziness.
  • Uranium, any remaining amount left in the body, is carried through the bloodstream, and over time high concentrations could affect the kidneys.
  • Arsenic is naturally occurring. However, boiling water with arsenic in it will increase concentration. Long-term effects of consumption can lead to health issues: nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, etc.
  • Tiny microplastics are everywhere and are little enough to enter our drinking water. But unfortunately, plastics are known to have toxins.

Disadvantages of using bottled water:

  • As previously mentioned, plastics are toxic, which is the standard for storing water.
  • Water dispenser jugs are heavy to carry and refill.
  • Purchasing disposable water bottles is costly.
  • Disposable bottles are not suitable for the environment.

It is a healthy and economic decision to have a water distiller in your home office for daily water consumption.

It is always best to do your due diligence by researching and speaking to your healthcare practitioner to decide what is best for you.
